Legacy League Mechanics: All 17 Leagues

Imma say what the league was, what it added, any special things, and the leagues legacy uniques. Gigigi has said they are buffing or changing some of these legacy uniques, so my thoughts on these may change, so may their value.

1. Ambush: This league added strongboxes. Which I actually appreciate! Here they are with their approximate rarity.

Box                                                                                            |Rarity
Strongbox: Nothing special, blue it up if you're autistic like me   |56%
Jewelers Strongbox: Ammys, rings, belts, jewels                      |7.5%
Artisans Strongbox: Currency that effects quality                      |7%
Armorers Strongbox: Just armor                                                |6%
Blacksmiths Strongbox: Just weapons                                      |5.7%
Large Strongbox: Has increased quantity                                  |4.7%
Arcanists Strongbox: Currency that doesn't effect quality            |4.3%
Gemcutters Strongbox: Gems                                                   |3.3%
Ornate Strongbox: Has increased rarity                                    |2.8%
Diviners Strongbox: Divination Cards                                        |1.9%
Cartographers Strongbox: Maps                                               |0.5%
Every strongbox has a 0.5% chance to roll unique.
The two most valuable are general Diviners and Arcanists.

Uniques:2/10
Vaal Caress: pretty trash, vaal builds want a 6l, non vaal builds shouldn't waste the slot
Voideye: interesting. This is good in some niche aura builds. Is cheap, will be cheap.

Overall?: Ambush is very hit or miss. If you get diviners and arcanists you can make a lot of money, but most of the other ones are just more xp. You also probably won't get those two until you run a lot of ambush stones. 5/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Anarchy: This league added rogue exiles. More of a player tribute than a league...

Uniques: 7/10, maybe 8
Shavronne's Revelation: One of those items you could make a weird semieffective build around; soul taker?; blood magic? gives me ideas. I like it
Voll's Devotion: The first real "op" item in this game ever, still used today. FREE endurance charges for crit builds. Worth a whole lot. T1
Daresso's Salute: This item turns the Slayer Duelist into one of the best acendencys in the game, while also making any melee build very viable. Semi-expensive
Gifts From Above: It's BiS for crit magic find, which is to say not a lot except archers

Overall?: While the uniques are worthwhile, Anarchy provides very little xp benefit. Exiles usually do drop a lot of stuff tho. Some Exiles are very deadly and can offscreen you. Anarchy depends a lot on what tier of map you are running as well. Imo 5.5/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Beyond: Killing monsters that are close together has a chance to attract monsters from the beyond place. Enough mobs killed close together increases the change of spawning harder monsters. There are five beyond bosses, fire, ice, lightning, physical, and chaos. There is also one extremely rare one by the name of Abaxoth, and if he spawns god help you.

Uniques: 4/10
Edge of Madness: Maybe in this new chaos meta world this could be really good. I'm not theorycrafting it tho, it seems pretty bad as a lvl 22
The Dark Seer: 100 ES per kill actually probably doesn't justify using this...
The Harvest: Well this is good, pretty broken. Pathfinder and this can do whatever as long as they have good unique flasks, residentsleeper the game

Overall?: This is the best xp in the game, and close to the best rarity (possibly best). Only one good unique doesn't matter if you can stack Beyond on league, zana, and the map itself, and then have two other league effects active. 10/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Bloodlines: Gives every blue pack an additional bloodline mod. These range from useless, to deadly as fuck (corrupting blood).

Uniques:1/10
Tasalio's Sign: Fuck no buff it
Ngamahu's Sign:Sames
Valako's Sign: Lightning build? It's passable....or just get a Vinktars

Overall?: No extra mobs, only more difficulty. Blues will give 20% more xp, loot, and loot quality which is actually a lot, but bloodlines mods are some of the deadliest in the game. The uniques suck. It's okay, if there weren't 16 other leagues. 1/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Breach: This league added breaches, which I am glad I don't have to describe!

Uniques: 8/10 There's too fucking many I'm sorry. Here are all of them. I will note the empowered ones only. Most of these uniques are really good and capable of carrying a build by themselves. The problem is that we don't know how common breaches and splinters will be compared to breach league, where the uniques to me where already quite rare. I am assuming they will up the drop rates.

Fire: all of these are good
Xoph's Nurture: Burning arrow with any class
The Formless Inferno: I'm conviced this is BiS for any armor build.
Xoph's Blood: Any life an fire build can use this for dps and living

Cold: these are all niche
Tulfall: I'm still convinced there's some secret op build here I'm not seeing
The Perfect Form: secret op for evasion/iron reflexes
The Pandemonius: sadly pretty average for a breach unique

Lightning: two powerful ones and the worst one
Hand of Wisdom and Action: makes claws viable :(
Esh's Visage: A very very poor and bad man's Shav's.
Choir of the Storm: makes lightning viable :(

Physical: some general use and weird boots
Uul-Netol's Embrace: i need to buy one of these and craft somethin, update: got one
The Red Trail: Flicker strike look no further
The Surrender: The year is 20xx, every hardcore shield character has a Surrender

Chaos: all expensive as fuck and good, all T1
United in Dream: Animate Weapon is really good with this, also it's 6ex
Skin of the Lords: Rng on top of rng on top of chayula, feelsgoodman
Presence of Chayula: It's a low-life Eye! Again 6ex
Red Nightmare: These things could fuck the meta if they were more common
Green Nightmare: I mean it's free charge generation
Blue Nightmare: On top of free damage and defense

Overall?: Breach is another very good league, with very good uniques, xp, and loot. Most will be tired of it from last league though. Still stacking it with beyond and shit could make for huge gains. 8.5/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Domination: This league added shrines. They all give a big boost in some way. All shrines are surrounded by a lot of mobs.

Uniques: 7/10
The Gull: If you wanna main this league run this mask, enough said
Berek's Grip: Leech on ice and lightning builds, use a Call of the Brotherhood
Berek's Pass: Could be good in some weird RF Arctic Armor build....
Berek's Respite: Free proliferation for fire and lightning, actually very good
The Taming: Vendor the rings. Broken as fuck with an Emberwake, amazing in general, T1
Blood of the Karui: Situationally useful for extremely high life builds, still pretty bad
Lavianga's Spirit: Can you say Shavronne's Revelation enabler

Overall?: Sadly, no one will want to run this league when Nemesis exists. I think that trying to main this and using a Gull could be quite good. Shrines are pretty rare in base game and they generally help clear speed a lot besides the resists one. The rest of the uniques are anywhere from niche to broken and if they buff Blood of the Karui this could be a very solid league. If Nemesis wasn't here. 7/10 (0/10 with Nemesis)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. Essence: This league gave us essences and no uniques!

Overall?: This might be the worst legacy mod. There is still a use for spamming essence stones to grind essence levels to get corrupted ones though. The fact that essences occur naturally and somewhat commonly takes a lot away from them. If a stone gives like 3 essences per area I may be swayed in my judgement. 2/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8. Invasion: This league makes the area invaded by a variety of different monsters. It will also add at least one invasion boss to the zone.

Uniques: 2/10 copy of sister Ambush League
Vaal Caress: pretty trash, vaal builds want a 6l, non vaal builds shouldn't waste the slot
Voideye: interesting. This is good in some niche aura builds. Is cheap, will be cheap.

Overall?: While Invasion and Ambush's uniques are bad, their loot and xp bonuses are pretty good. Invasion was one of the first, and most unseen leagues in PoE. Just the fact that it adds more density is very nice, and offers variety in mapping and leveling. 6/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9. Nemesis: Every rare monster effected by this league gains a nemesis mod. They also give 20% extra xp, rarity, and quanity.

Uniques: 10/10
Headhunter: The only T0 unique.

Overall?: Headhunter can naturally drop. It's still a astronomically low drop rate, but most of the other uniques are good too. The 20% to rares is less noticable than bloodlines, but there. Really this league will only be ran for Tamings and Headhunter. 10/10 (6/10 without)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Onslaught: Gives monsters 20% move, attack, and cast speed. Good job gigigi!

Uniques: 8/10, maybe 9
Shavronne's Revelation: One of those items you could make a weird semieffective build around; soul taker?; blood magic? gives me ideas. I like it
Voll's Devotion: The first real "op" item in this game ever, still used today. FREE endurance charges for crit builds. Worth a whole lot. T1
Victario's Acuity: Insane for archers and chargers of all kinds
Death Rush: Free onslaught, leech, and accuracy. Nice melee ring.

Overall?: There are two reasons to run this, Victario's and Death Rush. Otherwise it's a worse version of anarchy. 1/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11. Perandus: Spawns caches of Perandus coins throughout the zone. Has a small chance of spawning Cadiro Perandus, who will sell you items for said coins.

Uniques: 8/10. I love most of these for how cool they are though.
The Perandus Manor: Do you want full Atlas completion? Only availible here
Seven-League Step: 50% movespeed while leveling the whole time!
Zerphi's Last Breath: Niche unique used in mana manipulation builds (Kitava's Thirst)
Umbilicus Immortalis: Weird summoner utility! Maybe also life regen builds!
Trypanon: Big synergy with Marylene's Fallacy
Varunastra: A very unique weapon capable of taking all the damage nodes.

Overall?: This league may seem complicated, but it's actually very fun! Cadiro will offer you leveling uniques, good uniques, shav's, headhunters, and all that good stuff. He will even offer you currency! He's a great guy. I like all the uniques in this league, and while none of them are T1, I think most of them have a definite place and can be built around while not being too unnecessary op. (looking at you breach league). I am pretty biased on this league, I rolled hardcore and died on second Daresso and didn't play for a year. It was still probably the funnest leveling experience I had. 9/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12. Prophecy: Added Silver Coins, Nevali, and of course prophecies. Of additional note are fated uniques, which are all pretty trash except Voidheart.

Uniques: 5/10
The Ascetic: Magic find; gotten from a prophecy chain
Hinekora's Sight: Solves the accuracy problem, prophecy chain
Ascent From Flesh: Actually pretty good for energy shield raiders....hmmm. Prophecy chain
Kintsugi: Okay evasion chest, helps you get less 1 shot. Prophecy chain
These last 4 only drop in the Pale Court, which is assembled from Prophecy chains....
Mind of the Council: This thing is weird....maybe if MoM builds ever come back?
Grip of the Council: I guess it's free minion damage...but another unique slot for this?
Reach of the Council: Actually one of the best unique bows in the game
Breath of the Council: Somewhat general, but possibly useful for fire to chaos builds?

Overall?: I don't want to waste a league slot on this tbh fam, even if the bonus is like 5 prophecy coins...I hate prophecies. There are three reasons to run prophecies in general. To get Pale Court for atlas, to get a Reach for an archer, or to spam them till you get a good one and sell it. Even so there are like 9 valuable ones. Refer to poe.ninja. For me? 1/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13. Rampage: Put global ramage into effect. I never played this league, but it looks really cool.

Uniques: These all give you rampage, even without the league. They are also all pretty good and cool...this is dangerously close to a 10. 9.5/10 for two of the gloves being low level.
Flesh and Spirit: Could be potentially useful for new Vaal builds, theorycrafting potential
Shadows and Dust: These are pretty rediculous. Crit on gloves and free chaos damage.
Null and Void: Same, I'm pretty sure this is the only physical immunity in the game.

Overall?: I want a pair of all of these, and the mechanic looks fun. Null and Void even maybe gives life builds a fighting chance. Out of all of them, this league looks the most "active" to me. Imma try to stack this one and beyond a lot.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14. Talisman: Put Talismans in the game which are amulets with powerful implicits, considered somewhat of a failure, they weren't put into the main game, which of course gives the items themselves insane value. The reason it failed? Talismans were too complex and rare. We will see if gigigi improves the rarity issue. They are found like essences. You would only find T1 talismans in the wild. You could also find stone circles to combine talismans. 5 T1's =T2. 5 T2's = T3. Sacrificing 5 T3's opens up 6 portals to the league's special boss. Talismans can be any rarity, with there being 5 unique taliman. When combining them, the one produced has rarity chance equal to the rarities put in. 2 yellow, 2 blue, 1 white gives 40% yellow, 40% blue, 20% white.

Uniques: 2 T1's? Have fun farming Talisman.
Feastbind: Possibly the best physical/life beld in the game.
Faminebind: Eh...60% flask duration
The Retch: Gotten from vendoring the above belts. The best Rustic Sash in the game. T1
These next 4 are talisman uniques.
Blightwell: Requires good play, but gives basically ES flasks. Super good with some classes
Natural Hierarchy: Not as good as you would think, besides some fire to chaos builds
Night's Hold: What do you put here???? It's a gigigi secret
Rigwald's Curse: Makes unarmed viable! God bless
These next 5 drop off of Rigwald. He will always drop a Greatwolf talisman.
Eyes of the Greatwolf: Could be one of the most valuable items in the game, or a brick. T1
Rigwald's Crest: Okay for an endgame pyre build.
Rigwald's Quills: Free fork, okay all around
Rigwald's Savagery: This is meant to be dual wielded with
Rigwald's Command: This. And they are pretty fucking good.

Overall?: If you have the time and want to farm this league, you can get some pretty insane amulets and uniques. It probably takes the most work outta all the league though. It's literally essence mechanics otherwise...everyone wants a Retch. 8/10.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15. Tempest: This league added Tempests, little ground aoes that give people in them effects. You've probably seen some in Haku areas. Some are pretty insane, like corrupting and transmogrifying tempests.

Uniques: I suspect some of these may be buffed. 3/10
Trolltimber Spire: Good, but a better totem shield exists now.
Jorrhast's Blacksteel: Bad, and an actual good animate weapon item exists now.
Crown of the Pale King: This is like the most generic reflect leech unique ever...maybe RF
Ylfeban's Trickery: It's not terrible. It's rng as fuck, but I like it for that.

Overall?: This is a fire and forget league. You're not gonna farm it, but you're not gonna let it sit there. Corrupting tempests give 6 links at a good rate. 5/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Torment: This league added spooky ghosts. They possess yellow to give them a lot of rarity, while also giving rarity to anything else they phase through. Damn gigigi really went out of the way with this one.

Uniques: 2/10
Brutus' Lead Sprinkler: what the fuck is this, molten strike build?
The Rat Cage: Pretty good evasion chest, but like 5 better ones exist
Scold's Bridle: More damage but you kill yourself; probably some niche builds use this...

Overall?: I hate ghosts even more than prophecy. To me herding the ghosts into the mobs goes against what I like to do. If the stone has a mod that makes the guys already possessed then potentially sign me the fuck up. Otherwise 2/10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

17. Warbands: This league added warbands. Which are kinda like raiding parties built to kill you. They have builds and skills to synergize with each other. Additionally, warband league has special affixs items could drop with. Most of these are very cool and potentially very valuable.

Uniques: Give some buffs gigigi, some of these could be cool 6/10
Brinerot Flag: Make warcries great again
Redblade Banner: Make taunt great again
Brinerot Whalers: Actually pretty good for EK builds
Mutewind Pennant: Abyssal cry builds! Kripp is smiling
Mutewind Whispersteps: Spell crit on boots???? With movespeed??? Sleeper good
Brinerot Mark: General summoners can use this somewhat
Mutewind Seal: This not as much...
Redblade Band: This is pretty good for a hybrid golem/anything summoner
Redblade Tramplers: Idk pretty generic
The Pariah: Easy 100 life/es for a whole ringslot
Steppan Eard: Pretty cheap 30% ES boots
Broken Faith: Actually one of the best shields in the game imo

Overall?: I hope they buff some of these older uniques. I like the concept of this league, it is like multi rogue exiles. I like some of the uniques too. 6/10.
